With a staff that is so skilled in acute care, Capitol Care Center goes far beyond the expectations of a skilled nursing facility for wound care and related specialties. Capitol Care Center utilizes the KCI V.A.C. (Vacuum Assisted Closure) Unit. This unit works deep inside the wound to assist in removing barriers to healing. This particular therapy is widely used within wound treatment, but wound healing knowledge is not easily found in a skilled nursing facility. However, Wound VAC therapy is not the only process that we utilize. Your wound treatment will use a myriad of different options available to us in-house to treat your wound as quickly and effectively as possible to get you better and back home! We are proud to have one of the most experienced wound healing staffs in the area. With years of experience and success stories under our belt, we’re confident that we’ll have your wound healed faster and better than any other center in the area!
Guests who arrive at Capitol Care Center utilizing their Medicare benefits get a double shot of wound therapy as our therapists in the Lynn Gannar Therapy Center also treat the wound utilizing the same techniques that have been mastered by our nursing department. This gives an acute focus on the wound to expedite the healing process.
