Welcome to Capitol Care Center Skilled Nursing / IV Therapy! Our specialty is providing the most skilled 24-Hour nursing care available in the area. Skilled Nursing encompasses a variety of different care options from 24-hour care to custodial care. Short term rehabilitation and long term care also fall into this category. However, skilled care provides slightly more acute care than most other forms of care as the ailment may be substantially more difficult to care for. In these cases a registered nurse is continually on staff to ensure the highest skill level available for such acute treatment. Capitol Care Center is proud to offer a diverse group of highly trained RNs dedicated to the health of every guest entrusted to our care and with a 24-Hour accessible pharmacy, Capitol Care Center is taking your health care to the next level.
In many cases, a guest may be receiving a common form of skilled care such as IV therapy. IV therapy is given to treat various forms of illness where a regimen of medication is continually needed. In these cases a PICC (Percutaneously Inserted Central Catheter) is used. A PICC line requires the skill of a registered nurse to employ this method of IV therapy. This method of treatment helps provide a more stable line of treatment to the veins for long term administration of fluid. A PICC is simply a very long, very thin catheter that is inserted into the vein to administer the proper medications without the continual need to “re-stick” a guest. This form of therapy is extremely effective in providing the maximum treatment with minimum discomfort.
