Welcome to Capitol Care Center Long Term Care! Our specialty is an acute focus on maintaining each resident’s capabilities for self care while providing a quality of life centered living environment. As a long term resident, our first goal is to evaluate every individual to determine the staff and surroundings best suited to providing them with their individual care. Understanding the short and long term needs of each guest is essential to providing the best quality of care for a long range care plan. Depending on the acuity of care needed by each individual, there may be other healthcare needs that will need to be met inside of our facility and in some cases there may be standing appointments at area health providers that will need to be maintained. In those cases, we not only provide in house services, but provide free transportation to and from those standing appointments through our shuttle service. Long term care residents enjoy the same specialized care that every other resident receives, coupled with the highest rated nursing staff in Springfield.
Long term care at Capitol Care Center comes with every amenity that you’ll ever need, but it won’t feel like home until you give it that unique touch that only you can provide. We invite all of our residents to bring the items from home that make their surroundings as inviting and home-like as possible. Comforting and familiar surroundings not only give a resident’s room a personal touch but aide in providing a therapeutic environment. We encourage you and your family to ensure which items are appropriate to bring, and which are already provided by speaking to our admissions staff.
